In loving memory

There was once i fell in love, i love you so much until my heart aches if i cannot get my hands you. You make me sick of joy with your presence in my room, everYwhere i go i can't stop thinking about your beauty, your touches, your profound english. Your speak a lot about life, and your words made me think, made me realise that i should have love myself more. The times we spent together was unforgettable, when i show you to my friends you blend in with them so easily like you knew them so much, yet i am not jealous for i know that deep inside your heart you are mine for keeps. But when you broke up, you changed so much. I am totally devastated at the way you've been acting, whats to say, you are not the same as you used to be, things are so different now.. How i wish i could have you back, but its not that simple for there will always be one thing that remains which hurts me so deeply when you left me that time. It's hard for me too when you left but what's done is done. I am hurt deep, but i've always been keeping in touch with your presence, following your updatees on your life. From that, I know you miss me too, thats why you sing this song for me:

"In Loving Memory"

Thanks for all you've done
I've missed you for so long
I can't believe you're gone
You still live in me
I feel you in the wind
You guide me constantly

I've never knew what it was to be alone, no
Cause you were always there for me
You were always there waiting
And ill come home and I miss your face so
Smiling down on me
I close my eyes to see

And I know, you're a part of me
And it's your song that sets me free
I sing it while I feel I can't hold on
I sing tonight cause it comforts me

I carry the things that remind me of you
In loving memory of
The one that was so true
Your were as kind as you could be
And even though you're gone
You still mean the world to me

I've never knew what it was to be alone, no
Cause you were always there for me
You were always there waiting
But now I come home and it's not the same, no
It feels empty and alone
I can't believe you're gone

And I know, you're a part of me
And it's your song that sets me free
I sing it while I feel I can't hold on
I sing tonight cause it comforts me

I'm glad he set you free from sorrow
I'll still love you more tomorrow
And you will be here with me still

And what you did you did with feeling
And You always found the meaning
And you always will
And you always will
And you always will

Ooo's

And I know, you're a part of me
And it's your song that sets me free
I sing it while I feel I can't hold on
I sing tonight cause it comforts me

Ya, i feel it too, may you enjoy your newfound life without the miseries of having me in your sight anymore. Love is such a deep trench filled with pitfalls, not everybody ahs the ability to love, i realise i may never have the ability to love someone else anymore the way i loved you... So thanks being a presence in my life, i hope the beauties of life may remain with your presence.

id3as froM tHe lAnd of the rising sun-part II

Name : Starboard
Type : Unbelievable,hehe... emo, rock, punk

Hiroyuki Imamura: Vocals and Guitars
Daisuke Asao: Bass
Retsu Ushijima: Drums and Vocals

Check out this fucking hot band from Japan "well not so hot now just one of my personal preference". For those who never heard of them before dont let the young naive looks fool ya, i was shocked when i heard their songs online for the first time for they were very talented especially the guitarist. His killer riffs are melodious and his filling for the parts in between the songs are suprisingly good, which makes the whole package complete. Well known for their catchy tunes, their debut album Everywhere You Go, has been a smashing hit in Japan. I've been trying to track them down and find their mp3's using the google translator to browse through japanese websites..!! Finally after 3 days of search and a painfull ass, justice is served and the tiger get its share of the meat. Download their 2 video clips here:

-> Daze
-> Left Behind New Theory

No fruits in my search for their mp3 though, if there is anyone of you who can help me find for it please let me know through the all new chatterbox. For more previews of their song and profile, visit their myspace site here and the japanese translated review of the band here. Sigh, it's time to go back to assignment mode again...!!

Case of the egg...

Here's something that i wrote in my old blog after AKAASH's failure in Sparc Talentime...

There was once an egg, so fragile, full of fear that it often wonders what would happen if its shell breaks. The question was never answered in the egg's youthfull days, but as time goes, the egg finally joins the school athletic team and made it to the jumping team, after trying so hard the egg was finally given a shot, a chance to prove himself not to be a wimp. The night before the competition, he sat down looking at the road of his life, wondering how would things turn out to be if he made it to the finals, or even won the state championship. He was worried about breaking his precious shell but least he's confident after all the effort he put in that he would be well rewarded. On the day of the competition, he jumped as high as he could, and he was very happy with the height he jumped at. Alas, the height he jumped at was high but another dude jumped higher than him and bagged the first prize, it was both humiliating and frustrating, all the hope and aim, all the confidence given by family, coach and friends all seem worthless, he's nothing but an egg only.. In rage he tore open his shell and said, it's time for me to release this excess baggage of mine, in shock he found out that beneath the soft shell he's keeping, inside was a fully groen body, not to be a yolk as expected. So my friends, the lesson here today is that don't keep holding on to the angst and fear of loosing something precious for only after you sacrifice your all for something or someone, then you'll find the new being you.. Never give up under any circumstances, it's shameful to loose but it's even more pathetic to give up.. Losser's thumbs up!!

Looking back, i wonder what would have happen to us if we didnt manage to survive that crash back then.. A lot of things had happened recently to the band, still i felt lucky that we took the road less taken which is the painfull road of relearning our mistakes and improvise, else where would we stand in Audiowarfare Cyberjaya on the night of 21st JUly...??? >.<

Lets Reconcile...

Afte the long wait, Love me butch has released the video of the song Reconcile from their new album This Is The New Pop.. For most of you who are new to the scene, LMB aka Love Me Butch has been one of the leading Malaysian underground rock band, their live peformance onstage are nothing more than breathtaking where mosh pits will be formed automatically without the need to be steered. While most of you out there may be sick & tired of white guys screaming out their unmelodious enotions, this band definitely has an extra edge to it. If you browse through their songs preview here you'll find that the songs from their new album such as Hollywood Holiday and Stumble Upon a Glass definitely present a different level of quality music as they experiment with new sounds and genre. The vocals are impressive too, changing from screamo to soft heart breaking wail the next second is definitely an impressive feat. At the remark of most vocalist i heard "damn thats tight, rock siol" It's true i swear. The vocalist of LMB, Syahrul defintely has improved greatly over the years. I might not call myself an expert in judging his voice but from the bottom of my heart, I personally experienced them:
1) live 3 years ago when they visited MMU Malacca as a guest artist for the Ground Zero battle of the band.
2) live 21st July on MMU Cyberjaya Audiowarfare for which they are also one of the guest artist

and i think LMB are so flucking awesome onstage. In the 3 years, the differences are so much. 3 years ago they have just freshly won the AIM award and with their hit singleThe Protector from their album Enter Posthuman they totally rock the Main Hall of MMU Malacca. Now, watching them live again definitely rewrote the meaning of ROCK in my head. No doubt the vocals and guitar have improved tremendously over the years, but the whole band also was on a different scale compared to other bands that played that night. I guess i have been out of sync with the Malaysian music scene lately, i might rant more and more here but to be really convinced on their peformance why dont you buy their cd, watch them live yourself and then give me a ride once you want to visit their concert.. >.<

They are currently number 1 on audioleaf japan. No joke, this prove that Malaysian bands can rock the world too any harder than any tom, dick and harry from anywhere!! Before i log off, have fun twiddling around their website!! Yippie Ka Yay to LMB!!

****************************************************************

On a note, their song has been playing in my winamp for days.. Hopefully i can get over these addictive killer new sound of pop... peace out ya'll!!

****************************************************************

Yeap, this one is definitely one of my gods..

You make my bathroom singing sessions sounded like duck strocking sessions..

Here is someone for my bassist to worship..

To my drummer who'll be leaving for ICOM.. Enjoy this photo..

business + pleasure... Cognitive?

Recently i had an out of the blue chat with a very important figure from the Audiowarfare comitee, ok, it just happen that i got her email address from the official Audiowarfare webiste..[erhem!!]... so, i decided to add her to my *cough* buddy list to ask her concerning our medals which we are yet to receive at that time. A few days later she briefly replied my msg's and promised me that she'll deliver it in a few days time of which to my amazement she did personally. Feeling ashamed of my deeds which may have caused her all the troubles in the world, i decide to take the opportunity to thank her personally since i got her contacts already, but along the way something else happened and somehow i manage to squeeze her out from that thick shell to come out for a chat once in a blue moon. It's just a casual chat with no other intentions intended "bear in mind that she's a super cute girl in Cyberjaya with too many secret admirers" Again back to the story:

We chatted for a while, and i began analysing her words. No wonder she's super famous, "intelligent, witty, not your average moody swings, hillarious, dig rock musics, sweet character and super dedicated" Sounds tempting? Well, don't be suprised if she takes around 2-3 days to reply to your messages for she's a super busy lady. However underneath that skin is a very humble heart who loves pronouncing quotes from Mark Twain to Apple's fravourite.. Alright, too much winding stories, the result from my last conversation with her was her opinion about us "Akaash" during Audiowarfare, this is what she commented:

She: i liked your mix of sounds.
she: it wuz interesting.
She: you were the spotted winners, actually.
She: i thot you might win, i mean, after the audition, before the finals la.
Jackass: oic... well, we can say we are all still amatuers on stage still...
She: ookie. lemme see
She: what instrument were you playing arr?
Jackass: electric guitar
She: kie.
Jackass: you got the video...??
She: there's this comment. fromt eh judge. "bassist out"
She: there's a recording. it's coming out soon. i need to duplicate it firs.t
Jackass: haha, how they know my bassist out?
She: you noticed too?
Jackass: its my bassist after all
Jackass: we are still amatuers like i've said
She: overall you guys did great, obviously. since you got 1st runner up.
She: you scored in vocal competency and use of innovative styles and techniques
She: your first song wuz preferred over the second one. tho both are good la
Jackass: oooOoOk, thats what we emphasize...
Jackass: you mean the firsrt one which is the rocks harder version ar..
She: i dunnola. it's the first song u played la
She: then your presentation (manner, attire, attitude) is fine.. but interactivity wit audience like kurang
Jackass: ya, its our second time on stage only... first one we sounded liek a goat singing
She: hehee

I hope no one's offended with this review... It's just an opinion, Akaash members if you are reading this, please take more initiative to improve overall especially on the stage fright thingy... No need to be psyched up, love, peace and harmony ya'll...

Until the next post, i'll leave you with something from Apple...
Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The trouble-makers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules, and they have no respect for the status-quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify, or vilify them. But the only thing you can't do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.

i dreamt again about..

Mr Lu: I imagine that right now you're feeling a bit like Alice. Tumbling down the rabbit hole?
Big J: You could say that.
Mr Lu: I can see it in your eyes. You have the look of a man who accepts what he sees because he's expecting to wake up. Ironically, this is not far from the truth. Do you believe in fate, Big J?
Big J: No.
Mr Lu: Why not?
Big J: 'Cause I don't like the idea that I'm not in control of my life.
Mr Lu: I know exactly what you mean. Let me tell you why you're here. You're here because you know something. What you know, you can't explain. But you feel it. You felt it your entire life. That there's something wrong with the world. You don't know what it is, but it's there. Like a splinter in your mind -- driving you mad. It is this feeling that has brought you to me. Do you know what I'm talking about?
Big J: Not a single fucking idea...
Mr Lu: Do you want to know what it is?
(I nod my head.)
Mr Lu: The fact is everywhere, it is all around us. Even now, in this very room. You can see it when you look out your window, or when you turn on your television. You can feel it when you go to work, or when go to church or when you pay your taxes. It is the world that has been pulled over your eyes to blind you from the truth.
Big J: What truth?
Mr Lu: That you are a slave, Big J. Like everyone else, you were born into bondage, born inside a prison that you cannot smell, taste, or touch. A prison for your mind. (long pause, sighs) Unfortunately, no one can be told what the fact is. You have to see it for yourself. This is your last chance. After this, there is no turning back.
(In his left hand, Mr Lu shows a blue pill.)
Mr Lu: You take the blue pill and the story ends. You wake in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. (a red pill is shown in his other hand) You take the red pill and you stay in Wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit-hole goes. (Long pause; Big J begins to reach for the red pill) Remember -- all I am offering is the truth, nothing more.
(Big J takes the red pill and swallows it with a glass of water)

Wakes up to his wet stupid fucking head on the laptop, must be drooling in my sleep again.........

dreams...

Dreams can misleading sometimes, they may represent anything from your inner most desired fantasy to nothing more than just a dream. Ever since i discovered the wonders of D tunning, i have been making a few lovely tunes for my new song. Upcoming akaash project will be in D tunning i guess, following the sounds of Sister Hazel and Goo goo Dolls, which lead me to my dream yesterday. It was a dark time for me as i dreamt of myself having the vocals and peforming as a solo artist at cafe's pubs and stage. Taking me from one place to another i felt surrielity as i played in crowds of thousands.. Damn, somethings not right:
1) My vocal is like shit
2) I seldom would play solo
3) I look better hidden among the band

If that's the case, how come i manage to have this live long desire to have vocals such as Starboard, Fujidana or The Coasters... I should have take a good look back and think about it first before dreaming but oh well... dreams are just harmless adventurees right? Keep dreaming jerry, just keep on dreaming....

Messy Mess... Thinking again, hm...

Remember what happened on August 6 1945 US dropped the nuke upon Hiroshima and Nagasaki? Yups, right the japanese were fried and totally outclassed, rendered hopeless they seek revenge by surrendering first and then made a total comeback in the automotive and industrial market, conquering the world silently once again... Akaash is now too facing the same dilemma, being bombed twice by our expatriate, damn we could have disband our project by now. The first bomb was dropped right after our 2nd placing at Audiowarfare, the 2nd bomb on our project, assignment & exam week. This is what happenned :

1st bomb
Being labeled as one of the "BOMB" Babes Of MMU Bands, our singer has achieved by far what most vocalist could only dream of. Having a recording contract and classical singing talent, our BOMB managed to secure one of the five indipendent awards on Audiowarfare "Best Vocalist Award", our balls were all large knowing the fact that we have the BOMB with us while the rest of the bands managed to secure only troops of batangs in their pathetical sausages line up... *larger than kennysia's coconut* Nevertheless, things began to go wrong when the BOMB decided to drop the real bomb upon us and broke off with the other guitarist *not me la damnit!!*, "shit this is not gonna be easy" was the only thing i could say to our drummer Vinder. I wonder who'll have to be kicked out and who's gonna do it, well two dogs cant share a bone right? I mean that professionally they should be able to still play in the band casually as if nothing happened before, but let me ask you one question, and be honest about it.. IF YOU ARE IN THAT SIRUATION, WILL YOU ABLE TO KEEP THAT LEVEL OF PROFESSIONALISM WITHIN THE BAND? After carefull consideration and counting the posibilities and statistic, i present this statement to myself, i think the BOMB will have to go, why?

1)Final year medical student, one year internship at Sabah coming soon.. Sabah man!!
2)Honestly, i feel a barrier within while playing with a female vocalist, no comments please...
3)If the guitarist were to go, it'll be hard for us to deal with her as usually any contacts, request or practises with her are dealt over through the bf first..
4)I felt like a josie and the pussycats supporter suddenly.. "i just made that up la"

Every opinion has their buts, no exception on this one too:

1)Our band's icon is an imprinted image in the minds of supporters, imagine what if brandon boyd were to sing for evanescene suddenly at the next concert in place of the female vocalist, you'll buy their show?
2)Finding a substitute for our vocalist will be a headache, auditioning will take time and to learn new song, adjusting and explore the capabilities of a new vocalist takes up too much time..
3)If it's chosen another BOMB then we'll risk having affairs within the band once again and ended up back at square in the near future.
4)It's sad to leave her, for once you get to know someone you dont just look at the capabilities but rather at the inner qualities and friendship bond that you had with that person.. *sobZ*

Life changing memories are definitely sad and hard to accepted, nevertheless someone has to break the silence and tell her the truth, i was hopping that i wouldn't be apoointed for this task as most of you already know i have a very extremely weak knee in front of ladies.. I was hopping that my drummer vinder would do this, however something unexpected happened along the way which makes began to feel as if somehow the arrows are beginning to point at my direction lately.. Well, lets just leave it in the hands of fate for now...

2nd Bomb
After all that mess accured from the first bomb, even when the dust hasn't cleared up yet, we are bombed by fate once again. This time it's a bullseye on our freakish kondei clad warrior, armed with nothing but just two oversized chopsticks he has nothing left within after the mess.. Damn, he's announcing that he'll be going to ICOM aka "Irritating Company Of Motherfuckers" to further his studies in Music, and the best part is that he's leaving MMU for good in JUST a few days time only. My bad, he did told us all that he would be doing so for quite some time already, however due to my failure to recognise the seriousness of his ambitions led me to feel as if everything that had happened, happened too fast. In my mind i was like "Damn, he's gonna be gone from MMU for quite some time", with that i am not sure now weather our band will remain together for long let alone making it big. I mean, practises would have to be compromised, rushed and our budgets tight on our ass, also there would surely be a lot more complications ahead which i may not forsee like transportation, timing and understanding.. All i can say is that, we're fucked for now, ya for life in our ass...

How are we gonna be satisfied with where we are if we are neither progressing nor moving forward from where we arrived upon earlier, as usual on Malaysian style, our demo recording date was delayed again and will have to wait until the first BOMB issue cleared up, also we might have to have a serious table talk concerning the other issues arrising from our latest encounter "TOP SECRET", *sigh* it was at these times i wish that i could just turn back time and rebuild the past once again.. until then, exams for now...

Guess who is it that i've been listening to nowdays? love me butch!! yes!, their free preiview of their song from the main site has been ringing in my computer for a week i think.. Damn, also you can download their hit single from thew album "THis Is The New Pop" Reconcile's video from the main site too. so i'll leave you to enjoy the new pop experience, do support their site and do remember to vote for them!!
