Do keep in mind that the subtitle is in Bahasa Melayu and also the author hold no responsiblity whatsoever for any accidents especially histerical laughs which my be induced from watching this video too many times...

To tell you the truth this video really brought me back in time, it's true that we only get to be young once in our lifetime, so the moral story of the day is dont waste our youth. Hope you have a great day ahead.

Deja Voodoo Spells, a band with a very spooky name which will blow you away with their awesome talents. Their lineup comprise of a few very talented individuals whom finds their ways of expression through music priceless. The first time i met them was in my first MMUSIC workshop held on 13th March 2005 at MMU Malacca's clc0004. The event was intended to be a small scale show and tell style. Even with an extremely poor attendance, the band gave us their best in the talk and showered us with the spirit of true rock. We were trully mesmerised to learn of the lead guitarist Rithan and the drummer Ainol's capability, since copying from the internet is a blasphemy, so to read more of their bio click here. I also have uploaded a video of a Deja Voodoo Spells in action for download, to download the video click this link...!!!!

Their new album "I am what I am" has just been released and are now available in major music stores around your block. Their new album has been rumored to be full of suprises and showcase their full passion for music. Since internet piracy is at rampant, i call upon all the readers to support the local bands by buying a legit copy considering the effort they took to realise the dream of getting their talents out to the audience. Sigh, this means that my next month's budget includes a week of starvation and pure meditation from fun to realise this dream.

Another thing, Deja Voodoo Spells has been confirmed to participate in the up and coming long awaited Rock The World 6 concert. Sadly, my fravourite band Love Me Butch are pulling out from this year's event. This inevidently puts me in the dilemma of attending the concert this year or not. Well anyway, the tickets for Rock The World 6 concert are out for grabs, click
here for more info on the bands playing and also to get your tickets. Happy surfing...!!!

I am BECK...

Finally, after nearly a month plus of not updating this site... First of all, sorry to all the readers for i was caught in a place where the source of internet was in scarcity. During this one month period of absenty i was back in my hometown, Sarawak. My journey are recorded as followed :

6 days - Pretending to be a model citizen of Kuching town
2 days - Driving with my sister to Miri (Honda AK)
10 days - Drunk and still driving around in Miri town with my brother's Proton Tiara
1 day - 14 hours bus ride to Kuching
6 days - Sober and apologising to mum for not spending much time at home...

Then again words cannot summarize my journey to Sarawak this time. As you can see, it was totally packed with only a few days of rest for me at Kuching. One word that could summarize the whole event was superfuckingawesome awesome, as it is a journey of self discovery for me. It was one of those moments where you have the ample time to discover your inner needs and restructure your goals and purpose in life, well since most of the geographical areas of Miri town are filled with clean and beautiful beach i was able to meditate upon my objectives with a clear conscience throughout the day. It was a refreshing moment to be there meditating at the beach, i might be getting myself a house by the beach one day too. Getting back to business, all throughout my time in Sarawak i managed to jam 6 times with 3 different band, the result are quite amazing. Here is a summary of what they are:

1st band : Baboon and his ah beng bandmates
2nd band : Colin, Ikmal and his shell colleague bandmate
3rd band : Ah wai and the rojak team

1st band
Has a hardcore metal and emotional feel to it. Influenced mostly by Jrock and hardcore english bands such as As i lay dying, the used, Atreyu & etc... This band is one messed up team in terms of timing and riffs, even though so the drummer is one hell of a good player who can adapt so well to any style of playing, i can sense that the chemistry between the members in this band is much much more better than my band in Malacca. Their only weakness is that that lack discipline and vision, they would have to be more serious in practise and give up more of their own time for more original compositions along with future planning for gigs and peformances. If they do that, I can definitely see a future for this garage project. Suprisingly, this band jam twice a week without fail and still dont have a band name.

2nd band
Typical indie rock group, played songs from good old british rock, american punk to some remixes of oldies. Their influences are from the likes of coldplay, oasis, avril lavinge, green day and etc. This band has a few vocalist "both male and female", this makes them more versatile in terms of choosing which band songs to cover. Their strength lies in their key discipline to practise and experience of playing in other bands before. Their weakness is however is their lack of confidence to try new sounds and also i can sense that the chemistry between the band members are not there yet. Overall they're just a bunch of kaki jamming type that happens to met in Shell Corporation Of Miri. Doing an adequete job of covering Shell official functions, they still lack the stage experience. And the latest project that i heard from them is making a demo, at least thats what i last heard from Ikmal.. Not bad, keep it going dude..!!! Also, they dont have a band name yet.

3rd band
A maniac groupie of retired jammers, the atmosphere was kinda wierd, ackward and unmotivating.. No one knows what the other is playing and all the members are there for the sake of rekindering long lost friendship. Well, nothing much to be commented for it was a met up after footie session. No future plan for this band was intended so just forget whatever you read here.

More info on the review of the BOSS ME-50 will be coming up soon as i am still compiling the facts and details from the net and comparing it to mine at the moment..
